Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach Door Rules

The door rules at Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach are published and short. Several practical winter questions, from a coat check to holiday hours, are not answered on the casino's pages, and this page lists both.

Who gets through the door

Under Ontario law, 19 is the minimum age. Nobody under that age may go into or remain in a gaming site, whether land-based or online, apart from staff who are working. The casino holds to the same rule: guests must be 19 or older to enter. Every guest needs valid government-issued photo ID.

Anyone 21 or younger must also carry a second piece of ID with their name on it. One more rule has nothing to do with age. A person trespassed or self-excluded from this casino, or from any Ontario gaming property, may not visit.

Published access supports

The casino offers wheelchairs, accessible formats and communication supports on request. Service animals and guide dogs can go into the public areas, except where some other law keeps them out. A support person may come along too, as long as the age rules are met. Guests may also use their own assistive devices. Questions about any of these can go to the casino's phone, 705-422-2520.

Not on the casino's pages

The casino's pages say nothing about a coat check, a dress code, a bag policy or a smoking policy. Parking terms are not published either: no word on self-parking, accessible parking, RV or bus parking, or EV charging. Taxi or rideshare pickup and any shuttle go unmentioned.

Holiday hours and seasonal closures are not listed, so a holiday visit is checked by phone first. The pages also do not mention an ATM, a cashier service or cheque cashing. There is no hotel at the casino.

For any of these points, the casino itself is the place to ask. Its phone number is 705-422-2520.

Booking for a group

The casino accepts bookings from groups as well as private events. It lists four categories: corporate, celebration, social and fundraiser groups. These bookings use their own line, 519-364-7606, rather than the main casino number. Anyone asking about a particular evening, group size or type of event should call that number.

Questions from the off-season

Is one photo ID enough for a young adult guest?

Not for anyone 21 or younger. Along with valid government-issued photo ID, they must carry a second piece of ID with their name. Entry starts at 19.

Is there somewhere to leave a coat?

The casino's pages do not say whether there is a coat check. The casino's phone, 705-422-2520, is where to ask.

May a support person come along?

Yes, support persons are allowed in. The age rules for entry apply to them as well.

Can guests stay overnight at the casino?

No, there is no hotel at the casino. A late evening needs a plan for getting back: Wasaga Beach Transit's local routes run every day from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
